Five-time World champion  Brazil  will look to climb up the table with a victory against  Colombia  in its  FIFA World Cup 2026  qualifier at the Arena BRB Mane Garrincha in Brazil on Thursday.

Dorival Junior's team was held to a 1-1 draw in its previous two encounters against Uruguay and Venezuela. A win for Brazil will take it to 21 points and potentially second place in the standings. Uruguay, currently placed second with 20 points, takes on table-topper Argentina tomorrow.

Colombia, on the other hand, is placed fourth with 19 points, one place ahead of its opponent on Friday. A Colombia win could push the team up to second on the table too while Brazil could end up behind Paraguay in seventh place -- the last spot for automatic qualification.
